Cozy Fall Essentials: What's on Our List
2017 Fall Essentials!
We're all about blankets, boots, and feeling as warm and cozy as possible. This is the perfect time of year to switch things around, revamp a room, and prepare for the Holidays. The holidays happen fast, so prepare early! Check out our favorites and get your list ready!
1. Cozy Knit Blanket
This has actually been on our list for a while. Having a big, warm, knit blanket in every room is a necessity when the temperatures drop and your husband won't let you turn the heat on. We've been on the lookout for colors that match what we already have like grey, pink, white, or a pale blue. This way they can be functional all year.
2. The Perfect Holiday Decorations
Whether its Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Years we keep our home decked out. There is a wonderful feeling that comes with having lights and mistletoe up. It really gives our home a warm and cozy feeling. We got ours from a variety of places this year, Target for the essentials, so handmade decorations we've picked up here and there, but we're most excited about being able to shop Phoestivus this year to see what other goodies we can find!
3. The Perfect Jacket
We spend a HUGE majority of the Fall and Winter outside. It's imperative to have the perfect coat or jacket. I was fortunate enough to find the perfect, super versatile coat last fall and can not wait to break it out. Something you can use to go out, be active, or just sit on the couch reveling in the fact that you now own the perfect coat!
4. The Perfect Holiday Scent
When it comes to the perfect Holiday scent, we're a little bias. We have a few favs that aren't of our own making but you can mostly find our Fall and Winter seasonal burning in our home until late January! Check out Holiday Bonfire for those cozy fireplaces feels, Fraser Fir & Oak Moss for the perfect scent of the woods in the Winter, and Cranberry, Oak and Fig for the perfect Holiday dinner setting.
5. Cozy (and Functional) Winter Wardrobe
While the temperature doesn't get too crazy in Phoenix, there is still a need for a cozy, warm, yet functional wardrobe change from the Summer. A go to Fall dress is mandatory, something great to pair with a light jacket and ankle boots. Our eyes are on a particular dress at ObessedAZ and this unforgettable skirt from Emerge. for those days our leggings just aren't good for. Speaking of leggings, a month or so ago we purchased some leggings from Southwest Legging Co and man, are they AMAZING.
6. Perfect gifts
We strive to give the perfect gifts to our friends and family. Not only do we want them to love it, we want them to be able to use it and discover something new. A Market Off Mill has become our go to for all of our gift giving. Not only are you supporting local businesses when you shop there, you're getting great gifts! Definitely, check out the shop or any of the wonderful business in the store!
7. BOOTS!
We love sandals, but nothing is better than boots on boots on boots. After the long months in the heat its like Christmas morning breaking out all the boots that have accumulated over the years. Finding the perfect pair(s) is the most incredible feeling. (We know, it seems like this is a little over the top. You just don't understand how much we love boots!)
8. Winter Adventures
On of our favorite things to do is take a short trip to Northern Arizona to really feel the season. We visit a few times a year but the best time is after there is some snow on the ground and we can cozy up next to a real fire and watch the stars. If you haven't done this yet, we recommend adding it to your list!
9. All the Activities
We book our calendar out from the first of October through Christmas full of activities. Not only with our own markets, but fun Fall and Winter activities so that we can really get in the Holiday spirit! From pumpkin carving to the State Fair, we LOVE all of it!
